For those who have classic 3.6vdc Versapak cordless power tools, but may want to switch to rechargeable 18650 Li-Ion cells, this adapter might be something you'd be interested in. This auction is for a 3D printed adapter which allows a single 18650 Lithium Ion battery to take the place of a Versapak cell. This auction is for the adapter ONLY and does not include the 18650 battery shown in the pictures. Disclaimers: When your 18650 battery requires charging, it must be removed from the adapter and charged using a charger designated for 18650 batteries. This should not be charged with the original Versapak charger as those are designed for NiMH battery chemistry. As this is a 3D printed part, there may be some slight blemishes due to the printing process. This in no way weakens or affects the functionality of the adapter. The positive contact is the head of a brass screw which extends into the adapter body and contacts the Positive terminal of the 18650 battery. The negative contact is the copper band at the head of the adapter . The 18650 is retained by a contact spring which has enough compliance to accept both protected and flat top cells.
